Updates and Newness :)

It's been a little over a week, and I've finally had time to write some. Miracle has started rice cereal and she sleeps (for the most part) through the night. It gives me a much needed break from getting up 2 or 3 times a night. She laughed for the 1st time yesterday....it was so precious! When I give her a bath now, she gets so excited :) She's constantly kicking her feet and smiling up at me. What a feeling! Me and my friend Jen went to her pool at her apartment complex and I dipped Mira's feet in for a few minutes. I couldn't believe it, but she was absolutely content the entire time. Of course, Miracle HATES the car, unless someone's in the backseat with her. Demetrius and I took Mira to church with us again this past Sunday. It was great. We had fellowship and I met some more members of the church. I decided to go to the monthly women's meeting and I'm super ecstatic about it :) Demetrius volunteered me to be in the singing group for the church...he wants me to show off my talent. He's so proud that I can sing. Update on the cystic fibrosis: I finished off the study drug I'm on for this month, and already I'm getting sick. So, on Friday I'm going to the doctor to hopefully be put on IV's to nip it in the bud before it gets out of hand. My CF doc and nurses will be meeting little MJ for the 1st time.....exciting! God continues to work on my soul as time progresses. I'm still having a hard time with cussing, but I'm trying to work on it. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July and God bless you all!!!

Inspired

The family went to church yesterday. I must say it was an extremely moving experience. Demetrius and I both broke down because the Lord was working on our souls. We needed that. Miracle was dedicated over to God, and I cried. I truly cannot wait to officially become part of the church family :) We went out to eat after church with Demetrius's mom at a seafood restaurant and I had THE best strawberry cream cake EVER....true story! Of course, the little one had to eat before we did, lol. Doesn't it always work that way? She peed right through her clothes and I went to handle that task.....let me just say that not having a changing area/table in a bathroom should be illegal! I have a changing pad, but who wants to put their baby that close to a floor of a PUBLIC bathroom....EWWWW. Anyways, I changed and got back to business, lol. We came home and chilled out after that and his friend came over with his new Mazda RX8. NICE. I had an opportunity to drive it but I was too nervous, haha. We hung out at his house for a while then came home...the baby slept all the way until 4am!!! That was so awesome :) I think I'm starting to get a little sick :( I've had a good run though. Maybe I can catch it before it gets too bad. I'll keep ya updated :) GOD BLESS

Frustrations and Rest

The day before yesterday was the WORST day I've had with Mira yet. She wouldn't stop screaming. I tried everything and came to the conclusion.....she's teething! Starting early, but indeed it's true. She will be 3 months on July 2nd, my mom's birthday. I was so frustrated I thought I was going to pull every strand of hair out of my head! I soon realized I would look terrible bald, and just decided to deal with the situation. Yesterday was great with her though :) Me and my mom took her to see her great aunt and then we went to Walmart. We ran into my cousin and she was ecstatic to see her. It was great to get out of the house. This morning I was exhausted and I got Miracle ready to go see her Gam-ma. She was talking in the carseat the whole way over there! It was so cute :) Now, I'm about to spend some time with the wonderful boyfriend. He's taking me out to eat at the Mayflower ad then I think we're kicking back and watching Cloverfield. I can't wait to relax!! I am truly blessed. Tomorrow Mira's getting blessed in church.....I'm excited!

MIRACLES

Hello blog world. My name is April and I have cystic fibrosis. I just had a baby on April 2, 2008. Miracle Jade Hall, she's my whole world! I made it through the pregnancy with very little complications and only a couple of in-patient hospital stays. I actually caught the flu this year, but I breezed through it :) I was 37 weeks preggers when my OB decided to induce labor.....SCARY! Everything went ridiculously smooth. My 3 support people told me how well I did. No difficulty delivering her either. She was small, 4lbs 5oz, but healthy. I am so incredibly blessed. Miracle's father and I have had a really rocky relationship but things are looking up and we're pulling through it :) Everyday is a new adventure with my little Miracle and I wouldn't change it for anything. This Sunday will be her 1st time at church and my 1st time in a LONG while. I know I want Christ to be very present in my life once again. I look forward to all that's to come!
